ITINERARY
Day 1 - December 30, 2019 - Rio de Janeiro

Rio de Janeiro - green hills, blue sky, impressive mountains,islands, beautiful bays and beaches. The second largest city of Brazil is certainly one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Beach hotels are located around the perimeter of the shore of Guanabara Bay so that hotel guests have this beauty right in front of them. The most popular ones are in Copacabana, Leblon and Ipanema, with its famous black-and- white tiled promenade. From morning until late in the evening on, you can enjoy the sun, lying in the golden sand. Those who prefer being active, can play soccer or volleyball. Besides the beach, you will find a lot of places for doing almost any sport - golf, tennis, windsurfing, rafting, scuba diving, hang-gliding and more.
Numerous outdoor cafes on the beaches will quench your thirst for cold coconut water, fresh juices and other beverages. On the mountain Corcovado with the statue of Christ the Redeemer, or on the world famous Sugar Loaf, you will have a breathtaking panoramic view of this marvelous city.

Day 2 - December 31, 2019 - Rio de Janeiro

Today you will go on a City tour, including a visit to Rio’s Sugar Loaf with an English speaking guide.
You will see: Praia Vermelha(Red Beach), where you will take a cable car up the mountain Urca and then to Pão de Açúcar (Sugar Loaf). There you will have a magnificent view of Rio and its main attractions: Lemme, Copacabana, Ipanema ,Leblon and Flamengo , the Corcovado Mountain with the Statue of Christ , the impressive arrays of Tijuca Park , Guanabara Bay , the city center , the airport Santos Dumont , the bridge from the center to Niteroi and Niteroi itself, as well as many other beautiful places Rio de Janeiro can offer. Later on, you will visit the historical part of the city.  At the end of the tour your guide will accompany you to the hotel for a quick rest before you begin the New Year festivities.
Walking onto Copacabana beach you will experience a New Year’s party like no other. A huge stage occupies one section of the beach, while millions (yes, millions!) of partygoers take to the sands dressed all in white to witness a spectacular fireworks display, and tributes are paid to the water goddess Lemanjá and sent into the ocean on small boats. The magical party atmosphere, it goes without saying, continues long into the night.

Day 3 - January 1, 2020 - Rio de Janeiro

Today you will visit the magnificent Corcovado and Tijuca forest with an English speaking guide. You will enjoy several ancient churches, monasteries, the main cathedral of the city, as well as buildings that were built in the colonial style. Rise through the jungle to the top of the mountain Corcovado .At the top of the Corcovado, at an altitude of 700m above sea level, stands the symbol of the city – the Statue of Christ the redeemer, which was built in 1931. The Tijuca forest is inhabited by monkeys and other exotic animals and birds.


Day 4 - January 2, 2020 - Rio de Janeiro - Foz de Iguacu

Transfer to the airport with an English speaking guide. 
You will board your flight to Foz de Iguaçu Airport where an English speaking guide will accompany you to the Brazilian side of the waterfalls
 


Day 5 - January 3, 2020 - Foz de Iguacu

The Iguaçu Falls, located on the border of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay – are  275 huge water streams, falling from an incredible height. The waterfalls are located in the national park with its unique flora and fauna, a result of a volcanic eruption and displacement of earth formations. Each of those 275 waterfalls have its own name ;the most powerful is called "Devil's Throat ", which is a U-shaped, 82 meters high, 150 m wide and 700 m long.

You head to the Brazilian side of the fall. It is impossible to express the emotions that you will feel. On the way to "Devil's Throat "you will see a lot of small waterfalls. 
You will see rainbows which arise on the billions of drops falling from the falls.

For an additional fee you can do a trip through the jungle in the back of a jeep for about 3 kilometers, with a guide who will tell a lot about the ecology of the region. Furthermore there will be a wonderful motor boat ride close to the waterfalls.

Day 6 - January 4, 2020 - Foz de Iguacu - Buenos Aires

Today you will visit the Argentinean side of the waterfalls. Here you will find the devils throat, the amount of water will impress you. The Argentinean side has a different view, you will experience the waterfalls from above and from the bottom. This way you will be very close to the waterfalls. 
After the tour to the Argentinean waterfalls you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires. Upon arrival you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel 
Buenos Aires is famous for being the birthplace of Tango. No doubt, this is the best city in the world for fans of this famous dance. In addition, you will certainly feel the extraordinary charm of this cosmopolitan city, with its famous palace Casa Rosada , the former port of Puerto Madero, quarter Caminito, Calle Florida , Boca Hunior football stadium , the cathedral , the National History Museum , the Botanical Garden. This multi-faceted city is so full of interesting places, which makes it impossible to list them all.

 


Day 7 - January 5, 2020 - Buenos Aires

Tour through Buenos Aires with an English speaking guide:.
This tour will give you an opportunity to learn about the city and its inhabitants. You will see the widest street of the world - 9 Avenue Yulya, the extraordinary park in the Plaza de Mayo, the area of St. Martin, Congress Square, Avenue Corrientes, Mayo as well as the city's historic neighborhoods La Boca, San Telmo and Montserrat, elegant and prestigious areas of Palermo and Rozeleta. The tour program also includes a visit to the modern areas of the city: Puerto Madero and to the Lezama-park.
 


Day 8 - January 6, 2020 - Buenos Aires – Santiago de Chile

At the right time you will be picked up and transferred to the airport of Buenos Aires. From there you will fly to the airport of Santiago de Chile. Upon arrival there will be a transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for your own leisure. 

Santiago de Chile has very interesting historical, residential and business districts. Take a walk through the historic center and you will see the Plaza de Armas with a monument dedicated to the founder of the city - Pedro de Valdivia, as well as the monument called "Freedom America" and a monument to the first Chilean Cardinal - Jose Maria Caro. Furthermore you can have a look at the Presidential Palace of La Moneda, which is the largest neoclassical building as well as the Cathedral and the Central Post Office building.
 


Day 9 - January 7, 2020 - Santiago de Chile

After your breakfast in the hotel you will go on a city tour through Santiago de Chile with an English speaking guide. You will have the chance to see: Santa Lucia Avenida O'Higgins, La Moneda, the Cathedral, the Museum of pre-Columbian art, San Cristobal, the German Fountain, the museum of Pablo Neruda and a lot more. 

After the tour you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Calama. From here you will have a transfer to San Pedro de Atacama. 


Day 10 - January 8, 2020 - San Pedro de Atacama - Uyuni

From San Pedro de Atacama (Chile) drive toward Hito Cajón, admire the Green Lagoon and enjoy the panoramic view of the Licancabur Volcano. Cross the Dali Valley, enjoy the Polkes hot springs and admire the “Sol de Mañana” geysers. Continue towards the Red Lagoon where you will observe many Andean flamingos, you will see the Árbol de Piedra and (Stone Tree) and arrival at “Ojo de Perdiz”
 


Day 11 - January 9, 2020 - Uyuni

Start the journey visiting the small Lagoons: Onda, Chiar Kota, Hedionda y Cañapa, stop at the scenic viewpoint of the Ollagüe Volcano, one of the few active volcanoes in the surroundings. Continue the journey through the Salt Flats of Chiguana, which is a vast extension of saltpeter (potassium nitrate). Arrival at the village of San Juan, visit of the archaeological museum and continue the trip through the Salt Flats of Uyuni towards the Fish Island, where you will find the highest cactus in the world. Hike up to the top of the island to enjoy of a great view of the entire Salt Flat. After lunch drive towards Uyuni, visiting Colchani, a town that its main economy is based on the salt processing and distribution of salt.
At the end of the salt desert tour you will be transferred to the airport of Uyuni for your flight to La Paz. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. 

La Paz was founded in 1548 under the name ‘’La Cuidad de Nuestra Senora de La Paz”. The capital of Bolivia is the highest capital in the world, as the city is situated at an altitude of 3660m above sea level. The center of the old town is surrounded by old colonial mansion and numerous churches. One of the highlights of the city is the main cathedral, built in neoclassical style and sharply contrasting with the surrounding classical church. In the northern part is the area of San Francisco, where you can find the uphill climb ethnic neighborhoods, inhabited by Indians. Nightlife lovers will find numerous restaurants and discos as well.
 


Day 12 - January 10, 2020 - La Paz – Tiwanaku – Puno

Breakfast in the hotel after that you will go on a tour with an English speaking guide to the “Valle de la Luna”(Valley of the Moon) which is situated about 10 kilometers from downtown La Paz. It is a very unique landscape, filled with rock formations that have been formed through thousands of years of erosion.  Later you will have a tour around the sightseeing’s of La Paz. it begins at one of the most commercial and popular street market: "El Mercado Rodriguez” walking around the street of this food market knowing about local products and gastronomy and learning about local customs and practices. And then continue at the “Witches market” where you will find traditional remedies and witchcrafts to offer to “Pachamama” (Mother Earth). 
From La Paz you will continue your journey to Peru. But the first stop is at Tiwanaku. 
Tiwanaku - one of the oldest civilizations in South America. You will see the Gate of the Sun, Kalasasaya temple and the pyramids, beautiful monuments of the glorious past of Tiwanaku culture. Tiwanakantsy were skilled in agriculture, hydraulics, architecture and medicine, as well as in social organization. Due to natural disasters, including long periods of drought, Tiwanaku civilization suffered a complete collapse at the end of the first millennium AD and mysteriously disappeared. Then you will continue and cross the border with Bolivia and Peru. And after this  you will be transfered to the hotel in Puno.
 


Day 13 - January 11, 2020 - Puno – Uros Island - Cusco

Early in the morning you will going to visit the Uros Islands.  The islands are located at the most high navigable lake in the world - Titicaca. A trip to the islands of Uros, constructed of reeds - the home of the Aymara. They preserved the traditional way of life, customs, beliefs and clothing.
After that you will be transported to the city of Cusco with a group bus (with an English speaking guide).
On the way there we will stop at: Andaguaililyas - Sistine Chapel of South America:, Raqchi - administrative building of the Incas. You will have lunch in Sicuani town.
Next stop: La Raya (4400 meters above sea level) with a roadside market with beautiful mountains in the background ; and Pucara - center of the Inca culture. You will arrive at around 6 pm in the hotel accommodation in Puno
 


Day 14 - January 12, 2020 - Cusco-Machu Picchu

After enjoying your breakfast in the hotel you will g on a full day excursion to "Machu Picchu - Lost City of the Incas" with an English speaking group. In the afternoon you will have lunch. Then return to Cusco by train and will be transfer to hotel.

Machu Picchu is a 15th-century Inca site located 2,430m above sea level. It is situated on a mountain ridge above the Sacred Valley which is 80 kilometers (50 mi) northwest of Cusco and through that the Urubamba River flows. Most archaeologists believe that Machu Picchu was built as an estate for the Inca emperor Pachacuti (1438–1472). Since 1911 when it caught international attention, Machu Picchu has become the largest tourist attraction in South America. Most of the outlying buildings have been reconstructed in order to give tourists a better idea of what the structures originally looked like. By 1976, thirty percent of Machu Picchu had been restored. The restoration work continues to this day.
Machu Picchu became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983 and was voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.
 


Day 15 - January 13, 2020 - Cusco

After breakfast you will have a city tour through Cusco including a visit to the "Koricancha" (Temple of the Sun), where the Incas carried out their main ritual celebrations - the winter solstice. After that, you will visit the ruins of four nearby ruins Temple Kenko, Red Fortress, PukaPukara, Tambomachay (center of worship of the Incas water) and architectural complex Saksaiuaman (religious buildings, castle, towers, canals, built of huge blocks.  Later you will be transferred to the hotel. Transfer out to the airport of Cusco for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima you will be transferred to your hotel. 
 


Day 16 - January 14, 2020 - Lima

Lima is the capital and the largest city of Peru. It is located in the central coastal part of the country, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The city was founded in 1535 by the Spanish discoverer Francisco Pizarrounder and was named “Ciudad de los Reyes” (City of Kings). The historic center was declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. 
It’s a city with great cultural diversity- which has a large number of museums. Another amazing thing it has to offer is its great food which has been recognized worldwide through many years. Lima offers a wide range of restaurants and bars, where you can taste delicious Peruvian dishes and drinks. In Lima you will find everything you are looking for diversity of cultures, adventures, beaches, variety of food, entertainment and everything you can imagine.
Today you will go on a half day city tour with your English speaking guide, you will also visit the  Gold Museum of Lima.

You will see the historic monuments of Lima – the Plaza Mayor, the Cathedral, the Government House, the Convent of San Francisco with beautiful cloisters and catacombs, used as a cemetery during the colonial era. Drive through the modern elite district of Lima Miraflores Central Park, San Isidro, Country Club and Golf Course. You will also visit the main shopping streets, such as Larco Avenue.

After the tour you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
